Blended Learning

The Pathways Academy Blended Learning Program serves middle and high school students in a creative, relaxed environment in which students can customize their learning and prepare themselves for the future. Our friendly, dedicated staff know students individually and support their aspirations. The program uses a mixture of online and offline materials to engage students in learning and discovery.
We create an individualized learning plan to highlight areas of strength as well as areas of need. We use this plan to set goals, evaluate progress, and celebrate success. We believe in empowering students to continually learn and strive to improve inside and outside the classroom.
Students have regular weekly contact with their supervising teacher with meetings set up a minimum of every 20 school days to review goals and progress.

What is Blended Learning?

Great question! Blended Learning is an educational method that combines online digital media with traditional classroom methods of tutoring, personalized instruction, and small-group work. It requires the physical presence of both teacher and student, with some element of student control over time, place, path, or pace. This means that students can work at their own pace rather than the pace of their peers.

Are your courses online only?

No. We have courses that utilize textbooks and teacher-created materials as well as online options.

How often do students have access to a teacher?

Teachers are available Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in person as well as via phone and email.

Will my student have opportunities to socialize with other students?

Yes! Students can participate in enrichment activities such as book clubs, fitness classes, science experiments, group projects and study groups.

How will you help students prepare for life after high school?

Students will participate in a College and Career Readiness course throughout their high school experience.

Additionally, students may participate in workshops to prepare for job interviews, create resumes, practice phone and email etiquette, and develop presentation skills.
